It’s October 31st and you don’t have a costume yet. A scenario that sounds all too familiar for many of us. For us who love all things Science, we’ve assembled a list of quick and easy science-themed costumes that you can have ready by tonight!
Bill Nye the Science Guy
Bill! Bill! Bill! Everyone’s favorite scientist also serves as an easy costume. Grab a blue lab coat and a bowtie and you’ll be unmistakeable!
Neil DeGrasse Tyson
Neil > Bill? We’ve got you covered too. A mustache and a vest covered in planets and stars will transform you into this unmistakeable man.
Graduated Cylinder
Happen to have an old graduation cap lying around? This one’s for you.
A poster board curled up and taped to you gives your body a cylindrical look. Throw the graduation cap on top and you have become a Graduated Cylinder!
A Limestone Deposit
This one might be the easiest and “Punniest” of all the costumes. Display a Lime, a Stone, and a Debit/Card (or a scanned image of one). Get it?
“Iron” Chef
Impress your friends with your knowledge of both the Culinary world and the Periodic Table. A simple “Fe” taped onto a chef coat will do the trick! (We think the apron is a great touch)
Ms. Frizzle
Tape a few rocket ships and stars onto a dress and you’ll be transformed into this famous quirky teacher.
(Could also be a great couples costume if you add in Liz the Lizard.)
Error 404
“Costume Not Found”. This last one masterfully blurs the line between being totally unprepared and perfectly prepared for Halloween. A white tee and a Sharpie marker are all you’ll need for this costume!
Halloween is a great time to show off your creativity and we hope one of these creative, quick ideas can help you out! Go assemble your last-minute costume and have a wonderful Halloween!
